Designer/Planner, Special Projects 

This Designer/Planner role will work directly with the Special Projects Division Manager to execute the various new scopes of work for WCEP. This position will entail creating workflow procedures, learning various utility systems, and will consist of communication with project coordinators to ensure projects are on track to be complete. The majority of the scope of work falling under this position will primarily be located in the field which entails the following; field verification, data collection, and design walkout for utility structures (OH and UG).

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

·       Work with Special Projects Manager on new opportunities throughout primarily Florida but may include travel within the Southeast region

·       Coordinate & communicate with Project Coordinator for overall project progress

·       Participate in client communication via meetings & emails

·       Collect utility pole/structure data in field, utilizing multiple software applications

·       Implement procedures and process flows to complete project tasks

REQUIREMENTS 

 

·       Comfortable working outdoors and walking for long periods of time

·       Integrate yourself into utility systems with self-driven research and development to help lay the foundation for WCEP 

·       Bluebeam Revu experience preferred but not required

·       Travel will be required

·       Ability to work overtime 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

·       1 year of design & fielding experience in the industry

·       Fiber/COMM design preferred  

·       High School Diploma required; AA/BA/BS preferred
